From The Vault: Snow Cap

Hello everyone! This manicure is back from summer, for some reason I never published it here, maybe I thought it was too frosty for summer. Today I saw that it was being used here without permission, under the name "Nail Polish Trend 2011". Of course I was annoyed because the picture was cropped to hide my watermark and there was no source and no credit was given, but at least I remembered that I hadn't put up this manicure here, so it's not all bad =)
I used Golden Rose Paris polish in silver. Sorry, I lost that bottle and I can't give you the number, but it's a foil-like, neutral silver and I'm sure you'll be able to spot it. The tips were freehanded with white creme polish. They remind me of caps of snow on mountains, hence the title.

It's simple but pretty, I like it =)

  1. This is very pretty, how did you do it? Also, how many polishes do you own?

Bummer about someone stealing your picture! And they cropped it to look all wonky. :(

  2. You're very precise! Lines are so perfect and look like they're made with a tape. Great job!

  3. @Rachel Marie first I painted my nails in silver, then I freehanded the tip using ordinary white polish and the regular polish brush.

  13. thank you so much guys! =) you rock! I hate when people crop watermarks, thinking they're so clever. just because I don't put a watermark right in the middle, doesn't mean it can be removed from the image! =)

  18. How pretty! I love the colors, they look so clean. It's rather ruffian-esque. I think this looks more relaxed though.

  22. I'm glad you liked it, guys =)
@Frances it might be considered a tip shape, or something like a Ruffian, depends on how you look at it =D
@Sakurai Chune karli havalari ben de cok ozledim =/ evet golden rose metalikler daha cok foil gibi oldugu icin cizgi birakmiyor, cok seviyorum =)
@Danielle, I held the brush sideways on the side of my nail, and slowly dragged it upwards, towards the tip, creating a curve. There was a moderate amount of polish on the brush, that helped creating a smooth line. =)
    @Tracie and @Ana, thank you! =D

  23. Wow! This is a really simplistic design, yet it's very elegant! I'm jealous of your steady hand to be able to free hand the white tips.
