31 Day Challenge: Day 8

Today is Day 8, and it's time for METALLIC nails!
I finally caved. I bought Chanel Graphite. I managed to walk around many Chanels by finding their exact dupes, but this time Chanel managed to blow me away when I was least expecting it. =)
I prepared myself for the Peridot hype, I even found some dupes, but I didn't like it as much as I expected. But Graphite is the hidden star of the bunch. When I first tried it on my nails in Sephora, I fell in love and I just had to have it.
Chanel Graphite is a greenish gunmetal grey foil with gold particles here and there. The overall look is a warm medium grey foil. The different colored particles really give this polish an unique look. I received many compliments when I was wearing this yesterday. The following pictures are without a base or topcoat, and I experienced no chips and no tipwear for the two days I've been wearing this polish.

Oh, here is another thing I've got from Sephora. It's the new Too Faced Smokey Eye Palette. This palette is so awesome, it contains every eye shadow I would need for a day or night look. The quality is impressive, they blend very well and they go along so nicely together. For me, this is even more beautiful than the Urban Decay Naked Palette =) I know this is not polish related, but I haven't been buying make-up for a long time, and I felt so happy when I got my hands on such a gorgeous palette =)

Bugün 8. Gün ve METALİK tırnaklar ile karşınızdayım!
Sonunda pes ettim. Gittim ve Chanel Graphite'i aldım. Bugüne kadar birçok Chanel ojeyi bir şekilde almamayı başardım, çoğunun eşini ya da benzerini buldum. Ama Chanel hiç beklemediğim yerden attı golü =)
Ben aslında Peridot'a aşık olmayı beklemiştim, ama onun bire bir aynısını buldum hatta kendisini bile sürdüm ama beklediğim kadar beğenmedim. Bence Graphite Peridot'un gölgesinde kalsa da o koleksiyonun gizli yıldızı. Sephora'da onu tırnaklarıma ilk sürdüğüm an, ki Dilek şahit, "Aşık oldum!" dedim.
Chanel Graphite hafif yeşilimsi tonlu, kurşun grisi bir folyo oje, içinde altın rengi ve başka renklerde parçacıklar var. Uzaktan görünümü sıcak tonlu kurşun grisi gibi bir şey oluyor böylece. İçerdiği altın rengi başta olmak üzere değişik renkte parçacıklar, bu ojeyi benzerlerinden ayırıyor. Dün çok sayıda iltifat aldım, gerçekten çok güzel duruyor tırnakta. Altına bir şey sürmedim, üstünde de cila yok; ancak tırnağımda durduğu iki gün boyunca ne soyulma, ne uçlardan aşınma, hiçbir problem yaşamadım.
Fotoğraflara ojenin güzelliği tam yansımasa da bir fikriniz olmuştur umarım.
Bu arada ojeyle ilgisi yok ama, Sephora'dan bir ürün daha aldım. Too Faced Smokey Eye diye yeni bir palet çıkarmış, eskisiyle alakası yok. Palette 9 far var, ve farların kalitesi inanılmaz. Yumuşaklıkları ve birbirilerine geçişleri çok başarılı, üstelik hem gündüz, hem gece makyajı tek bir palet ile yapılabilir, renk seçimleri inanılmaz hoşuma gitti. Uzun bir zamandır makyaj malzemesi almıyordum, çok hoş bir değişiklik oldu. Bence bu palet Urban Decay Naked'den bile güzel =)

NOTD: I Come Bearing Gifts!

It's 4 hours past the last day of Christmas, and here is my manicure =)
First I wanted to draw a Christmas tree on my ring finger and decorate it with various things, but then I decided that covering all my nails with gift wrappings would be a better idea. So here I present my gifts for you!


I'm going to explain all nails one-by-one, cookies for everyone who reads till the end =)


Thumb: Alix Avien #231 is the base, I stamped the design from bm20 in black, drew a dark green ribbon with acrylic paint and put a purple rhinestone in the middle.
Index: Pastel #32 is the base, I stamped the houndstooth design from bm19 with Konad Wine Red, drew a silver ribbon with Alix Avien #231 and put a light green rhinestone in the middle.
Middle: Orly Glitz & Glamour is the base, I stamped the stars design from bm20 with China Glaze 2030, drew a red ribbon with acrylic paint and put a gold rhinestone in the middle.
Ring: Finger Paints Evergreen Dream (Oh my God, gorgeous!) is the base, I stamped the stripes design from bm20 with Avon Peppermint Leaf, drew a green ribbon using acrylic paint and put a red rhinestone in the middle.
Pinky: Chanel Gondola is the base, I stamped the polka dot design from bm19 with Golden Rose Nail Art #108, drew a white ribbon with acrylic paint and put a clear rhinestone in the middle.
Phew, that was a lot of talking =) I hope you enjoyed my tiny gifts!

Noel'in son gününü 4 saat kadar geçmiş olsak da, işte benim Noel esinlenmeli manikürüm =)
Önce yüzük parmağıma bir çam ağacı çizip üzerini çeşitli şeylerle süslemeyi düşünmüştüm, ama sonra tırnaklarımı paketlenmiş hediyelere benzetmenin daha güzel bir fikir olacağına karar verdim. İşte benim size minik hediyelerim!

Baş parmak: Tabanda Alix Avien #231 var, bm20 diskindeki deseni siyah ile damgaladım, akrilik boyayla koyu yeşil kurdele çizdim ve ortaya mor bir taş koydum.
İşaret parmağı: Tabanda Pastel #32 var, bm19 diskindeki deseni Konad Wine Red ile damgaladım, Alix Avien #231 ile gümüş rengi kurdele çizdim ve ortaya açık yeşil bir taş koydum.
Orta parmak: Tabanda Orly Glitz & Glamour var, bm20 diskindeki yıldız desenini China Glaze 2030 ile damgaladım, akrilik boyayla kırmızı kurdele çizdim ve ortaya sarı bir taş koydum.
Yüzük parmağı: Tabanda Finger Paints Evergreen Dream var (Muhteşem bir renk.), bm20 diskindeki çizgili deseni Avon Peppermint Leaf ile damgaladım, akrilik boyayla yeşil kurdele çizdim ve ortaya kırmızı bir taş koydum.
Serçe parmak: Tabanda Chanel Gondola var, bm19 diskindeki puantiye desenini Golden Rose Nail Art #108 ile damgaladım, akrilik boyayla beyaz kurdele çizdim ve ortaya renksiz bir taş koydum.
Anlatması ne kadar uzun sürdü =) Umarım minik hediyelerim hoşunuza gitmiştir =)

Review: Chanel's Turkish Twins

Hello guys =) I'm happy to inform that Turkish nail polish brands are finally catching up with the latest trends =) After Sevilla, Pastel has come up with four different shades for the winter, and two of them are mimicking the latest Chanel colors, Paradoxal and Khaki Brun.
Here is Pastel #25, also called Khaki, as it stands on the label. Although I don't have it to compare, I'm about 100% positive that this is meant to be a dupe for Chanel Khaki Brun. It's a medium brown creme with a distinct hint of green. It's sort of a drab color, and the best description I found was Field Drab. I adore these murky, dirty, ugly colors on my nails =)



This is two coats, and dried pretty fast & glossy. Great job, Pastel! After seeing lots of taupes last year, this is feels pretty refreshing =)
Another color Pastel released is Pastel #69, a greyed-out taupe with purple shimmer. You're probably familiar with this description from Chanel Paradoxal. I don't have this polish swatched on my nails, but here are bottle & nail wheel comparison pictures:


As you can see, Pastel #69 has a similar base with Barry M Dusky Mauve (Known as a dead-on dupe for Paradoxal) but it's the amount of purple shimmer that makes a difference, because the overall look is more purple. Sevilla #144 (swatched here) has a warmer base color and a warmer shimmer color, but the same amount of shimmer with Dusky Mauve. The overall look is warmer than Dusky Mauve (Paradoxal).

Finally, I have a polish from Sevilla, which is supposed to be a dupe for Chanel Khaki Vert. Sevilla #145 is a light army green, or as Wikipedia calls it, Asparagus Green.



This one is pretty pigmented and creamy, good to go in 2 coats and it also dried very fast.
Again, I don't have the original Khaki Vert to compare, because they were sold here for a crazy $50 here! I feel so lucky that Turkish brands are trying to make dupes for these "trendy" colors =)

Merhaba =) Türk oje markaları beni acayip şaşırtmaya başladı, trendleri yakalamak uğruna normalde asla beklemeyeceğim renkler sürüyorlar piyasaya =) Sevilla'dan sonra, Pastel 4 adet kış rengi çıkartmış, ve bunlardan iki tanesi meşhur Chanel renkleri olan Paradoxal ve Khaki Brun'ün benzeri.
İşte Pastel #25, diğer adıyla Khaki (etiketinde öyle yazıyor). Bende Khaki Brun olmadığı için kıyaslayamıyorum ama, bence bu renk onun çok benzeri olacak şekilde üretilmiş. Rengi tarif etmek gerekirse, orta tonda bir kahverengi, ama içinde bariz bir yeşil tonu var. Bu tarz kirli hatta çirkin görünen renklere bayılıyorum tırnaklarda =) Asker yeşilleri, zeytin yeşilleri ojede çok güzel duruyor.
İki kat sürdüm, çabuk ve parlak kurudu. Pastel'e helal olsun valla =) Geçen sene bir sürü köstebek rengi gördükten sonra bu renk ilaç gibi geldi.
Pastel'in çıkardığı diğer bir renk de Pastel #69; griye bakan bir köstebek rengi, içinde mor ışıltılar var. Büyük ihtimalle bu size birşey çağrıştırmıştır, Chanel'in meşhur Paradoxal rengi mesela =) Bu ojeyi tırnaklarıma sürmedim ama bazı karşılaştırma resimleri koyuyorum.
Görebileceğiniz gibi Pastel #69 baz olarak Barry M Dusky Mauve gibi, ama içindeki mor ışıltı daha fazla olduğu için daha mor tonlu duruyor. Sevilla #144 ise hem baz rengi olarak hem ışıltı rengi olarak daha sıcak tonlu.
Son olarak Sevilla'nın başka bir ojesi, Sevilla #145, Chanel Khaki Vert'in aynısı olarak üretilmiş. Açık asker yeşili diyebiliriz bu renk için. Pigmentli bir oje, neredeyse tek katta opak olacaktı ve hızlı kurudu. Tabi ki burada tanesi 75 TL'den satıldığı için orijinali bende yok, ama Türk oje markaları gaza gelip art arda bu trend renkleri çıkardığı için çok şanslı sayıyorum kendimi =)
