Review: NOX Twilight - Citrus

My NOX Twilight review continues with Citrus.


Among the six polishes I got, Citrus shares the top place with Poseidon. It's a sunkissed, peach/coral shade, with stunning golden shimmer, great for summer. According to Wikipedia and my color sense, this color falls between Bittersweet and Light Coral. I think this polish will look adorable on tanned skin. This polish is very creamy, without being thick. It applied very well and became opaque in two coats. Drying time was fine, but not as good as a creme polish, due to being a shimmer. A good topcoat is recommended, because it doesn't dry very glossy.



Imagine China Glaze Strawberry Fields, but with a warmer base, and gold shimmer instead of gold microglitter. In my opinion, this polish looks much better on me than Strawberry Fields does.
Good news to my Turkish readers, because this polish is comparable with Flor Mar Supershine #04.

Supershine #04 is very similar to Citrus, but there are some minor differences. Supershine #04 has a reddish base, and the gold shimmer is sparse. But it's definitely a good alternative if you can't get your hands on Citrus.
To me, Citrus is one of the best polishes from NOX Twilight collection and was an instant fave for me. I hope you liked it, too =)

Citrus, benim gözümde birinciliği Poseidon ile paylaşıyor. Şeftali - mercan rengi arası, altın rengi ışıltıya sahip, tam bir yaz rengi. Hele biraz bronzlaşmış bir tende muhteşem duracağını düşünüyorum. Yapısı oldukça yoğun ve kremsi, ama kesinlikle aşırı yoğun değil. Düzgün bir şekilde sürüldü ve iki katta opak oldu. Kuruma süresi çok kısa değil, ama genel olarak sedefli ojeler, kreme ojelere göre daha yavaş kurur, bu yüzden böyle olması normal. Bir de kuruduğunda çok ıslak görünümlü olmuyor, bu yüzden iyi bir parlatıcı cila sürmenizi tavsiye ederim.
Bu oje China Glaze Strawberry Fields'e benziyor, ama daha sıcak bir pembe ve mikrosimli değil sedefli bir yapısı var. Ben şahsen bu ojeyi kendime daha çok yakıştırdım.
Sevgili Türk okuyucularım, size iyi bir haberim var çünkü bu rengi beğendiyseniz, iyi bir alternatif Flor Mar Supershine serisinde var.
Soldan sağa: Supershine #04, Citrus, Supershine #04, Citrus. Supershine #04, Citrus'a göre biraz daha mercan rengine kaçıyor. İçindeki altın ışıltılar ise sedef kadar yoğun değil, ama yine de oldukça ışıltılı ve benzer bir görünüm sunuyor. Ben iyi bir alternatif olduğunu düşünüyorum.
Citrus, NOX Twilight koleksiyonunda en çok beğendiğim renklerden biri. Ben görür görmez favorim ilan etmiştim, umarım siz de beğenmişsinizdir.

Review: NOX Twilight - Poseidon

My NOX Twilight review continues with Poseidon.


Poseidon is my favorite from the six polishes I got. (It actually shares the top place with the polish I'm going to show you next.) It's a gorgeous, watery, medium blue/turquoise, and very aptly named. When I saw it on the website, I thought I already had a dupe for it, but no, it's unique in my stash. According to Wikipedia and my polish eye, this color falls between Deep Sky Blue and Turquoise. I adore blues like that! The consistency was the best yet, it basically applied itself and didn't need any cleanup. This polish is a jelly-like creme, and it was good to go in two coats. It dries to a high gloss finish, and the drying time was pretty fast, too.
I couldn't stop taking pictures this time, I was mesmerized by the beauty of Poseidon!




I adore this color. I wanna marry this color and have its kids. I love it that much. I wonder if it's a dupe for Zoya Robyn, sadly I don't own it to compare.
I compared Poseidon with China Glaze Flyin' High, that's the closest color on my stash.

As you can see, Flyin' High is darker, less saturated and has a little more green to it. Also it's not as squishy as Poseidon, but more creamy.
To me, Poseidon is one of the two must have's from NOX Twilight collection. I hope you enjoyed the aqua goodness as much as I did!

Poseidon, bana gönderilen 6 ojenin arasında en çok beğendiğim oje. (Aslına bakarsanız birinciliği başka bir oje ile paylaşıyor, ama onu sonraki tanıtımımda göreceksiniz.) Muhteşem, pırıl pırıl bir su mavisi, hatta camgöbeği denilebilir. İsmi de renge çok yakışmış. Bu ojenin resmini gördüğümde, bende kesin eşi olduğunu düşünmüştüm, ama yokmuş. Bu tarz mavilere bayılıyorum =)
Sürümü şimdiye kadar denediklerim arasında en iyisiydi. Oje resmen kendi kendine düzgün bir şekilde sürüldü, hiç çaba göstermeme, hataları düzeltmeme gerek kalmadı. Yapısı jelimsi bir krem, ve iki katta opak oluyor. Ayrıca çok hızlı bir şekilde ve ıslak görünümlü kuruyor.
Bu rengi öyle çok beğendim ki! Tam benlik. Zoya Robyn'e benzediğini düşünüyorum, ama ne yazık ki o oje bende yok, bu yüzden kıyaslayamıyorum.
Elimdeki ojeler arasında Poseidon'a en yakın olanı China Glaze Flyin' High olduğu için ikisini kıyasladım. Soldan sağa: F/H, Poseidon, F/H, Poseidon. Görebileceğiniz gibi Flyin' High, Poseidon'a göre daha koyu, onun kadar canlı değil ve birazcık daha yeşile kaçıyor. Ama çok az. Ayrıca Poseidon kadar ıslak görünümlü değil, tam bir krem oje gibi kuruyor.
Bence Poseidon, NOX Twilight koleksiyonundan mutlaka alınması gereken iki renkten biri. Umarım bu güzel renk benim kadar sizin de hoşunuza gitmiştir =)

Review: NOX Twilight - Sangria

My NOX Twilight review continues with Sangria.


Sangria was one of the shades I wasn't expecting to be this good. In the bottle it looks like very dark, almost brown vampy red, very generic. But on the nails, it comes alive. I felt excited once it was on my nails. According to Wikipedia, this is what Sangria should look like, but this polish is definitely darker and less pink but more brown. The first coat was not brownish at all, it looked like delicious, ripe cherries. With the second coat it was this rich, dark, delicious color, nicely opaque and even. I know that most of the vampy polishes look somehow alike, therefore I always try to get interesting colors when I shop from the US and don't pay for colors like vampies which I already can find here. (The only exception would be Zoya Casey, I guess. That polish looks phenomenal.) But this color is really something else. First of all, it's so glossy. Most of the vampy polishes here dry a bit flat. The pictures below are without topcoat:



See? Gorgeous. I really enjoyed applying it. I love that it's not too brown, and not too purple. It's a perfect dark cherry red, or should I have said, dark blood red? =)
The drying time is average, and in the end, I suggest a good topcoat. Because although it's glossy, it can dent like crazy if you don't use a topcoat.
Other than that, I don't really have anything to say about this polish. It's a great vampy shade. Sadly I can't compare this with other famous vampies, because of the reasons I mentioned above. But based on some pictures I found - like PHD also mentioned here - it resembles OPI Suzi Says Da.

NOX Twilight oje tanıtımım Sangria ile sürüyor.
Sangria, bu kadar güzel olmasını beklemediğim renklerden biriydi. Şişenin içinde çok koyu, kahverengiye yakın bir kırmızı gibi duruyor, yani klasik bordo diyebiliriz. Ama tırnağa sürer sürmez göze çok güzel gelmeye başlıyor. Tırnaklarıma sürerken acayip beğendim bu ojeyi. Kahverengi tonlu değilmiş bir kere. İlk katta kiraz gibi olan renk, ikinci katta vişne çürüğüne dönüşüyor. Böyle koyu renk ojeler genellikle birbirine benzediği için, ben yabancı markalardan almıyorum bu tarz renkler. Ama merak eden olursa yerel markalarla kıyaslayabilirim =)
Bu ojeyi özel yapan şeylerden biri çok çok parlak olması. Üzerinde cila olmamasına rağmen kuruduktan sonra hala ıslakmış gibi bir görünüme sahip. Burada satılan ojeler genellikle kuruduğunda o ıslak görünümü kaybediyor. Resimlerde ne kadar parlak olduğunu görebilirsiniz.
Bence harika bir kiraz rengi. Yoksa kan rengi mi demeliydim? =)
Kuruma zamanı fena değil, ancak ben yine de iyi bir koruyucu cila öneririm. Çünkü her ne kadar parlak kurusa da, bu darbe aldığında çizilmesini engellemiyor.
Bu ojeyle ilgili söyleyeceklerim bu kadar. Yabancı markalardan biraz OPI Suzi Says Da'ya benziyor sanırım, ama bunu da internette bulduğum resimlere dayanarak söylüyorum, yan yana görmeden kesin birşey söyleyemeyeceğim =/
Son olarak, eğlence olsun diye renkleriyle oynayıp vampir temalı fotoğraflara benzettiğim bir resim ile veda ediyorum =)

From The Vault: The Polish Every Turkish Girl Knows About

I don't know if there's such a famous shade in the US, but almost every girl in my country, if interested in nail polish or not, knows about this shade. It's very, very popular and it's the top selling polish in Turkey, I believe.
Flor Mar #319 is an off-white, sheer polish, designed to be used as a French manicure base. But it easily becomes opaque in 3 coats. It looks great with many skintones, and provides a neat, clean, freshly manicured look. We also call this color "Raki White" here. (Raki is the traditional alcoholic Turkish drink. This color is a life saver. It's professional, it can be used if you don't know what to put on for some occasion, it can be used as a French base. It's one shade that should always be kept in one's purse. =)

ABD'de böylesine meşhur, herkesin bildiği bir renk var mı bilmiyorum ama, burada oje süren sürmeyen her kızın bildiği renk herhalde budur. Hatta Türkiye'de en çok satılan oje olduğunu tahmin ediyorum, mağazalarda raflar dolusu stoklandığını gördükçe.
Flor Mar #319, kırık beyaz, saydam yapılı bir oje. Aslında Fransız manikürlerinin favorisi olsa da, üç katta kolaylıkla opak oluyor. Birçok tende harika duruyor bu oje ve tırnağı temiz, bakımlı, yeni manikür yapılmış gibi gösteriyor. Aynı zamanda "Rakı Beyazı" diye de geçiyor.
Bu oje tam bir kurtarıcı. Özel bir yere mi gideceksin? Ne süreceğine mi karar veremedin? Tırnakların berbat durumda mı? İş görüşmen mi var? Sür ve çık. Bu oje makyaj çantasına atılıp her yere taşınması gereken ojelerden.

Review: NOX Twilight - Wine & Dine

My NOX Twilight review continues with Wine & Dine.


Wine & Dine is a champagne/rose gold colored polish, with a foil-like finish. It's opaque in two coats and looks seriously amazing on the nails. Although I don't own Orly Rage from the FX Collection, I think they might be dupes, based on the pictures. The polish consists of small copper and silver particles, which altogether give the look of rose gold, and the finish is very reflective.
I applied two coats here, because the first coat went on a bit sheer, but the second coat built up very well. I didn't use a topcoat with it, because it can affect this particular finish in a bad way.


The application was easy, this polish a bit runny like Disco Darling, but it gave me no problems. It dried fast. I really like this polish on myself, and I've always wanted to have Orly Rage, so this is just amazing for me! =)



I've also tried Wine & Dine with konad, and it works just fine. Maybe a bit on the sheer side, but as you can see, definitely visible on black polish. (Sorry for the blurry pinky here =)
I recommend Wine & Dine to anyone who likes foily, metallic, Minx-like polishes! =)

Wine & Dine, pembe-altın arası, çok açık bakır rengi gibi bir renge sahip. Yapısı folyo dedikleri gibi, metalik ama içinde bol miktarda da metalik sedefler olduğu için sıradan metalik ojelere göre yansıtıcılığı çok fazla, fırça izlerini onlar kadar belli etmiyor ve çok daha güzel duruyor. İki katta opak oldu ve tırnakta çok çok güzel duruyor. Bende olmasa da, resimlerden gördüğüm kadarıyla Orly Rage ile neredeyse aynı olduklarını düşünüyorum. Bu oje küçük bakır rengi ve gümüş rengi parçacıklardan oluşuyor, bu yüzden genel görünüm pembe altın dedikleri renk.
Burada iki kat kullandım çünkü ilk kat biraz saydam kaldı, ama ikinci katta kendini toparladı. Üzerinde cila kullanmadım çünkü metalik/krom/folyo ojeler cila ile pek iyi anlaşamıyor.
Sürümü oldukça kolaydı, bu da Disco Darling gibi biraz sıvı yapıda, fakat sürerken problem yaratmadı ve çabuk kurudu. Ben bu ojeyi çok beğendim, çünkü Orly Rage'i uzun zamandır istiyordum ve bana gönderdikleri ojelerin arasında yer alması düşeş denk geldi =)
Wine & Dine'ı konad ile de denedim, ve oldukça güzel oldu. Belki olması gerektiği kadar opak değil, ama yine de siyah ojenin üzerinde görünür olması işe yaradığını anlamak için yeterli.
Wine & Dine'ı tırnaklarında metalik, sedefli, parlak oje seven ya da Minx yaptırmak isteyip bulamayan herkese tavsiye ederim =)
