NOTD: Zoya Alegra

The reason why I don't update with nail pictures as often: I have a funny blister at one side of one of my nails on my rarely seen right hand. The nail cuts right into the blister, which makes it bleed and ache. The blister is very very tiny. I'm actually more amused than annoyed. Never seen anything like it before! I'm sure it will be gone in a few days, I just don't wanna touch acetone right now. I might even be running around with chipped nail polish for the following days. Gasp! Horror!


Right now I have Zoya Alegra on my nails, from Zoya's Sparkle collection. As most of my pinks are creams or pearly shimmers, this one might just be the richest, most glamorous and beautiful pink polish I own. It's a reddish magenta with lots of magenta and pink shimmer. In the bottle you can even see a gold duochrome, but it's not apparent on the nail. This is such a feminine and sexy polish. I adore it. I want a room filled with polishes of this particular finish. I think it's my favorite finish ever. I love the foily looking, duochrome, flecked/sparkly goodness. See, I can't find the words to describe.



I can eat a bowl of this polish for breakfast. I love it that much.

Tırnaklarımın birinin kenarında küçük bir kabarcık oluştu. Tırnak oraya battıkça kanıyor. Çok küçük olduğu için önemsemiyorum, birkaç güne kadar geçer herhalde. Zaten sinir olmaktan çok komik buldum bu durumu. Daha önce hiç böyle birşey başıma gelmemişti. Ağrısı olmasa keşke, şu an aseton kullanmak hiç içimden gelmiyor, önümüzdeki birkaç gün boyunca soyulmuş tırnaklarla gezmeyi bile göze aldım, ki bunun ne demek olduğunu ojeseverler bilir =)
Bugün tırnağımdaki oje, Zoya Alegra. Genellikle pembe ojelerim krem yapıda ya da sedefli olduğu için, bu oje sanırım sahip olduğum en güzel, en çarpıcı pembe oje. Kırmızıya çalan bir pembe ve içinde bol miktarda pembe, cam kırığı gibi ışıltı var. Simli denemez bu bitişe, zaten yüzeyi düzgün kuruyor ve kolay çıkıyor. Bu bitiş sanırım benim ojeler arasında en sevdiğim bitiş, ki krem yapıda ojeleri bile tahtından indirdi bence. İyi ki önce Zoya, sonra Orly bu tarz ojeler yapmaya başladı.
Ben bu ojeyi çok çok seviyorum. Sürmeye kıyamıyorum. Ekim ayı hatrına sürdüm şimdi, bundan sonra daha özel ya da mutlu olmaya ihtiyacım olan günlerde atık =)

Grab A Badge!

Hey guys! I've decided to create an "Official Polish Addict" badge, after admitting myself yesterday that I have a polish problem. Now I'm feeling less weird, LOL =)
This badge was created with the help of the Seal Maker over at http://www.says-it.com/seal. I created this as a blank seal, and added the nail polish clip-art myself. (I'm not sure if there was a nail polish clip-art, couldn't go through hundreds and thousands of images, just browsed the "Misc" section.) The site watermark had to be removed because I'm not that good at making transparent PNG images =) (I'm not sure if the seal maker allows you to save the image as a transparent png, because the server was too busy and I had to get the image via screen capturing.) I already did a few recolors, but you can also recolor the image yourself if you want, or you can ask for a specific color, too. Just leave a comment with your e-mail address, or contact me directly via e-mail.

Herkese merhaba =) Dün itibariyle bir oje problemim olduğunu kabul etmiş bulunmaktayım. Bu yüzden bir "Resmi Oje Bağımlısı" rozeti yapmaya karar verdim. Bunu yapıp bloguma koyduktan sonra o kadar da garip hissetmiyorum =)
Yukarıda benim kendi yaptığım renklerde rozetler göreceksiniz, ama kendiniz bir renk isterseniz bana söyleyebilirsiniz. Eğer kullanırsanız, nereden aldığınızı belirtmeniz şart değil ama hoşuma gider =) Bunu yaptığım sitenin sunucusu çok yoğundu, bu yüzden bir de Türkçe yapmaya fırsatım olmadı, ilerleyen günlerde yapmaya çalışacağım.

NOTD: China Glaze Flip-Flop Fantasy (Shield Your Eyes!)

The third pink polish I'm going to show you this month is a retina-searingly bright, coral-pink polish, namely China Glaze Flip-Flop Fantasy from the Poolside Collection. This polish is so bright, it's ridiculous. Do yourself a favor, apply this polish and find yourself a UV-Lamp. Your nails will look so cool. I think neon polishes are a great way to cheer yourself up when you're feeling down, any time of the year.
I've applied 3 coats on my newly chopped-down nails. (I'm growing them out, but I had two breaks on my right hand and I decided to shorten them a bit.) This polish dries to a matte finish, because of the neon pigment it contains. But of course, a nice topcoat takes care of it.




This picture does no justice to how awesome this polish looks under the blacklight. It looks radioactive in real life. I'm so glad I caved and got 3 polishes from the Poolside Collection! =D

Size bu ay göstereceğim üçüncü pembe oje, insanın gözünü kamaştıran parlaklıkta, mercan rengi-pembe arası bir neon, yani Poolside koleksiyonundan China Glaze Flip-Flop Fantasy. Aşırı derecede parlak bir renk. Özellikle UV ışık altında bu ojeye bir bakmanızı şiddetle tavsiye ederim. Neon ojelere bayılıyorum, yılın hangi dönemi olursa olsun sürmek lazım, insanı bir anda canlandırıp neşelendiriyorlar.
Üç kat sürdüm ve mat olarak kurudu. İçinde neon pigment bulunan ojelerin özelliği mat olarak kuruması. Ama parlak bir görünüm istiyorsanız, üzerine cila sürmeniz yeterli.
Resimde morötesi ışık altında ne kadar muhteşem gözüktüğü tam anlaşılmıyor. Gerçekte çok, çok daha parlak, radyoaktif hatta =D İyi ki sonunda pes edip bu koleksiyondan üç oje ısmarlamışım =D

NOTD: Creamy Pink

Here is my second pink for October. Again it's a local brand polish, Flor Mar Supershine #29. This is a very pale baby pink. I'd say Pale Pink, because like the colordrop, it looks warmer in real life than on the pictures. This was 3 coats. I had some problems with application, it's not really as creamy as the title suggests. Some streaking and cuticle pulling was going on, but eventually it looked alright.



I accented my ring finger with a Nailene Bedazzled sticker and that's all.
I have more pink nails coming up.

Bu, Ekim ayının ikinci pembe ojesi. Yine yerel bir markadan, Flor Mar Supershine #29. Bu oldukça açık, bebek pembesi bir oje. Gerçekte resimlerden daha sıcak bir pembe. 3 kat sürdüm ve sürümünü pek beğendiğimi söyleyemem. Bir kere yapısı kireç gibi, aynı zamanda tırnak diplerinde çekilmeler yapıyor. Ama sonunda kendine geldi.
Yüzük parmağımda Nailene Bedazzled süslerinden bir çiçek var vurgu olarak.
Başka pembe tırnaklarda buluşmak üzere.

NOTD: Pink Holographic

Note: I want to paint my nails mostly pink this month, since October is Breast Cancer Awareness month.

Yesterday I met my friend, ojedelisi (tr. polish freak) and we had a nice time together. She gifted me this gem of a polish, which really made me happy. Elanor is a Turkish brand, but it's really hard to find. No idea where those polishes are sold, actually. My friend was contacted by the manufacturer and she received the Elanor polishes for review reasons. But it's still a mystery where they normally retail.
Elanor #311 is a warm pink holographic. I don't own many holos, but I still think they're awesome. The holo in this one is scattered, but the effect is still there. This is more of a subtle holo than a Wham! Pow! Into your face! holo. It was opaque in 2 coats but I did 3.




I really like this polish, it's very ladylike with extra holo goodness.

Dün ojedelisi ile buluştuk. Güzel zaman geçirdik, bol bol da sohbet ettik =) Bana bu Elanor ojeyi hediye etti. Elanor gerçekten garip bir marka. Çok güzel ojeleri var ama nerede satıldığı belli değil. Keşke bu işler biraz daha ciddi yapılsa, neyi nereden alacağımızı, tam olarak hangi renkler olduğunu, hangi renklerin yeni çıktığını, oje içeriklerini falan bilebilsek. Neyse.
Elanor #311 sıcak tonda, açık pembe, holografik bir oje. Çok fazla holo ojem olmasa da, aslında holo ojeleri çok seviyorum. Bu ojedeki holografik simler biraz dağınık yapıda, ama holografik etki kesinlikle mevcut. 2 katta opak oldu ama ben 3 kat sürdüm.
Bu ojeyi çok beğendim, hem çok zarif duruyor hem de holografik olması onu farklı kılıyor.
