31 Day Challenge: Day 18

Hey guys =) Here is a quick post of Day 18, HALF MOON nails. For this manicure I used Konad Pastel Purple as my base color, then I painted the moons using Flor Mar Miracle Colors U33. I used Flor Mar Supermatte m120 & Pastel #82 for the roses, and Essence Trust In Fashion & P2 Artful for the leaves. I also used white acrylic paint for the stripes.

31 Day Challenge: Day 2

Hello guys =) Here is a very quick post before I go to bed. Thank you for your amazing reactions to my first post, I'm really happy that you're eager to see what I'm going to do =)
Day 2 is ORANGE nails. For this day I picked P2 Electric. Like all P2 polishes I've tried so far, this one is very opaque and smooth, with excellent, buttery application. It dried very shiny and was good in 2 coats.
I did daisy accents on my thumbs and ring fingers using acrylic paint. I used this tutorial by Rina as reference. Mine are nowhere as cute as hers, but I still like my cluttered daisies.

2. Gün için TURUNCU bir manikür yaptım. Oje olarak P2 Electric'de karar kıldım. Denediğim tüm P2 ojeleri gibi bu da oldukça opak, sürümü muhteşem bir oje. İki katta, çok çabuk ve parlak kurudu.
Daha sonra baş ve yüzük parmaklarıma akrilik boya ile papatyalar yaptım, yaparken de Rina'nın bu videosundan yararlandım. Benimkiler onun çiçekleri gibi tombiş ve sevimli olmadı, ama yine de kalabalık çiçek görüntüsünü beğendim.
Hepinize iyi geceler diliyorum ve yatıyorum, 6'da kalkmak çok zor!

NOTD: Vintage Roses

Hello everyone! I've been dealing with Otitis Externa (Ear Canal Infection) for 6 days now. Today I can finally tell that it's over. No pain, no swelling and I can finally hear again =) This has been the most painful ear infection I've had my entire life, my ear canal was swollen shut completely and I was literally scraping the floor the third night, just to have some pain relief again. But thank God it's over now. =)
I first did this design on my brother's girlfriend, then I liked the look and copied it on my nails.
Base color is Sally Hansen Complete Salon Manicure in Fairy Teal. It's the perfect Windows 95 Teal in my eyes. Here is the colordrop for Teal, and I think it matches this polish perfectly.
For the roses I used Rimmel London Apricot Punch, with Konad Pastel Pink for the highlights. For the leaves I used Konad Pastel Green mixed with P2 Artful, and Essie Absolutely Shore for the highlights. Here is a tutorial about my way of drawing freehand roses.

Herkese merhaba! Yaklaşık 6 gündür Dış Kulak Enfeksiyonu ile boğuşuyorum. Bugün itibariyle sanırım iyileştiğimi söyleyebilirim. En azından acı yok, şişlik indi ve yeniden duyabiliyorum =) Sanırım hayatımda geçirdiğim en kötü kulak enfeksiyonu buydu, kulak yolum tamamen kapanmıştı ve özellikle üçüncü gece artık acıdan yerleri tırmalayacak hale gelmiştim. Allah'a çok şükür geçti ama =)
Bu deseni ilk önce kardeşimin kız arkadaşına uyguladım, sonra beğenip kendime de aynısını yaptım.
Tabanda Sally Hansen Complete Salon Manicure serisinden Fairy Teal isimli ojeyi kullandım. Bu rengi Türkiye'de çoğu eczanede bulabilirsiniz bu arada. Hani Windows 95'in bir arka plan rengi vardı ya klasik, işte tam o renk, yani teal. Güller için ise Rimmel London Apricot Punch ve Konad Pastel Pink'i bir arada kullandım. Yapraklar için tabanda Konad Pastel Green ile karıştırdığım P2 Artful'u kullandım, daha sonra Essie Absolutely Shore ile aydınlattım. Gül yapma yöntemini bu videodan görebilirsiniz.

From The Vault: P2 Dating Time

I somehow forgot to post about this amazing polish. P2 Dating Time is a very squishy, pale green jelly with a hint of mint. On the pictures it might look like it, but it's not a yellow-leaning green like Orly Green Apple, it's along the same line with OPI Gargantuan Green Grape. On the nails it looks so awesome, slightly translucent, very pale, slightly minty green goodness. I love it!
I needed 4 coats to get it opaque, but as jellies are pretty much chip resistant, it won't be lifting for a few days. Plus, jellies don't crack on the second day like pastel cremes, which is a huge plus! Another thing that I love about the jellies is that they always stay put because of the high viscosity. I barely need to clean up after applying a jelly, the cuticle line is always neat =)

I got this one a few months back, I hope it's still available for you guys who'd like to get it. It has only recently started to feel like spring here, and this polish is perfect for this weather =)

Bu ojeyi sürmüşüm ama sonra hakkında yazı yazmayı unutmuşum. P2 Dating Time, oldukça ıslak görünümlü, jel yapıda, açık yeşil bir oje. Resimlerde öyle gibi gözükse de aslında sarıya dönük bir yeşil sayılmaz, daha çok nane yeşiline dönük, ama çok hafif. Tıpkı OPI Gargantuan Green Grape gibi. Hafif şeffaf oluşu çok güzel bence =)
Opak olması için yaklaşık 4 kat gerekiyor, fakat jel ojeler krem ojeler gibi kolay kolay soyulmadığı için, birkaç gün boyunca problemsizce durdu tırnağımda. Ayrıca jel ojeler pastel renkli krem ojeler gibi ikinci gün çatlamıyor, bu da büyük bir avantaj. Bir de jel ojelerin akışkanlığı farklı olduğu için, sürer sürmez belli bir şekil alıyor ve nasıl anlatılır bilmiyorum ama düzgün, birarada duruyor. Tırnak diplerine doğru akmıyor mesela =) Bu yüzden jel oje sürdükten sonra neredeyse hiçbir zaman temizlemeye gerek kalmıyor, tırnak dipleri kendiliğinden düzgün oluyor.
Resimde tırnak diplerimi hiç temizlemedim, normalde ufak tefek hatalar olursa asetona batırılmış bir fırça ile düzeltiyorum.
Ben bunu birkaç ay önce Berlin'den almıştım, alamasanız bile elinizdeki ojelerle kolayca yapılabilir. Rengi tutturduktan sonra jelleştirmek için içine şeffaf oje dökmeniz yeterli =)

NOTD: Boudoir Nails

Just another busy, heavily decorated, skittle nail set I did =) I'm actually quite fond of manicures like this, on myself or on someone else. I love mixed colors and mixed material, I think altogether they work well =)


I used four polishes for this manicure; P2 Dangerous, P2 Vibrant, Avon Peppermint Leaf and OPI Show it & Glow it. (Oh by the way, I have the whole Burlesque Collection, Zoya Flame Collection, and many more stray polishes to show you guys in the following days!) I also used pink and turquoise beads, clear, green and flower shaped pink rhinestones. For the stamping I used P2 Dangerous and Avon Peppermint Leaf, with designs from plates bm20 and bm06.

Thumb: I used P2 Vibrant as base color, then I added a clear rhinestone and the pink beads.
Index: Over P2 Dangerous I stamped the vine image from bm20 with Avon Peppermint Leaf, and added a pink flower rhinestone with a pink bead in the center.
Middle: P2 Vibrant with a gradient of OPI Show it & Glow it towards the tip.
Ring: I used P2 Dangerous as base color, then I added a clear rhinestone and the turquoise beads.
Pinky: Over Avon Peppermint Leaf I stamped with P2 Dangerous and flower design from bm06, then put a green rhinestone in in middle of the design.
I hope you like this manicure =) The beady nails took me about 10 minutes each, but the rest was easy! =)

Yine her parmağı farklı bir manikür ile karşınızdayım. Bu tarz manikürleri çok seviyorum, her parmağı birbiriyle alakasız olsa da bir araya gelince uyumlu olan, değişik renk ve teknikler kullanılarak yapılan. Benim tarzım yavaş yavaş buraya mı kayıyor ne =)
Bu manikürde dört farklı oje kullandım; P2 Dangerous, P2 Vibrant, Avon Peppermint Leaf ve OPI Show it & Glow it. (Bu arada merak edenler varsa, bütün OPI Burlesque Koleksiyonu, Zoya Flame Koleksiyonu ve başka ojeler ilerleyen günlerde karşınızda olacak.) Ayrıca pembe ve turkuaz boncuklar, beyaz, yeşil ve pembe taşlar kullandım. Damga için kullandığım ojeler P2 Dangerous ve Avon Peppermint Leaf, diskler ise bm20 ve bm06.
Tüm tırnaklarımı nasıl yaptığıma gelirsek:
Baş parmağımda baz olarak P2 Vibrant kullandım, üstüne beyaz taşlar ve pembe boncuklarla desen yaptım.
İşaret parmağımda P2 Dangerous üzerine bm20 diskindeki deseni Avon Peppermint Leaf ile uyguladım, sonra da çiçek şeklinde pembe taş ekledim.
Orta parmağımda P2 Vibrant üzerine OPI Show it & Glow it'i uca doğru yoğunlaşacak şekilde geçişli uyguladım.
Yüzük parmağımda baz olarak P2 Dangerous kullandım, üstüne beyaz taşlar ve turkuaz boncuklarla desen yaptım.
Serçe parmağımda Avon Peppermint Leaf üzerine P2 Dangerous ile bm06 diskindeki çiçek desenini yaptım, sonra ortaya yeşil bir taş ekledim.
Umarım beğenmişsinizdir =) Boncuklu tırnakları yapmak 10'ar dakikamı aldı, geri kalanı nispeten daha kısa sürdü. =)

I'm Free!!!! And a small haul, and a NOTD =)

Hi guys! I'm finally free! Yaaaay! Sleepless days and nights of hard work are finally over. Phew! Now I can attend to my konad stuff, and post regularly again =)
Jeanette from The Swatchaholic helped me to get my hands on some Essence and some P2 stuff. She is amazing! Thank you, Jeanette!

Finally, here is a recent manicure, Claire's petroleum blue jelly with konad s09 and China Glaze DV8 for the stamping. The base color is beautiful, it's a very dark teal, on the blue side, and it's 4 coats for opacity. DV8 stamped subtle, but I like it =)



Oh, and this is my second attempt at cleaning the cuticles with a brush =) I got three paint brushes, one very tiny and two larger ones, and I'm amazed how they work =) Still need to practise to make it perfect, though. I'll post pictures soon!
