NOTD: Blue Roses

I feel like I'm stuck these days =) As you probably know from yourself, sometimes creativity is like a tidal wave, you have so much of it that you constantly keep producing; and sometimes you're deserted, nothing works right and you're angry with yourself and your nails =)
Today I painted some roses with acrylic paint on my nails. Base is a franken of mine, made with a few drops of blue dropped in white creme polish. It's a very pale, powdery blue, which can be seen swatched here.
For the roses, I first made blobs with a self-made dotting tool (a pin with a round head, pushed into an eraser =), then I did the details with a darker violet using a fine brush. I made the leaves and the shading with the same brush.

I have had some ideas when I went to bed yesterday, and I will try to make them come to life =)
By the way, I was just informed that I was selected one of the Top Manicure & Pedicure Blogs of 2010 by Cosmetology School =) It's such a great honor, thank you so much! =)

  9. I totally understand what you meant about creativity being a tidal wave. There are times my mind becomes blank and I can't think of any nail design. :/

Your nail art looks amazing. I never attempted to draw roses. This will definitely go to my must-try list! :)

  19. Aww, thank you so much my friends =) A fine brush makes wonderful rose details, I really recommend some fine liner brushes if you're into roses =)
    Çok teşekkür ederim arkadaşlar =)
@Katrina sometimes I feel depressed just because I don't feel good enough at my favorite hobby! =)
@Lynn mosa açık renk olduğu için zor sürüyorsundur =) İlk katı ince, ikinci katı daha kalın sür; oje kurutucu kullan =) işe yaradığını göreceksin

  21. @Iris @ pimpmynailz.com it's actually pretty easy =) you just have to keep following the pattern, even mistakes or random lines don't disturb the rose look =)

  22. Sometimes you have an empty mind, without ideas, it is normal, the ideas come back, sooner or later. the creativity never lets you down ;)

however, and these roses are really fabulous! <3

And it seems like a lot of nail art bloggers suffer from some lack of creativity at the moment (me too!). Must be all the christmas stress...
